UEFA CL Sports Innovation Final names the competition winning companies
The dutch company SciSports was chosen as the Sports Innovation Final (SPIN) winner, a competition organized by Hype Foundation in Cardiff, when the Champions League final was taking place at the same time.
This startup was chosen by a jury of experts that included Teresa Aguilar, CEO of Pivot Sport and member of the Board of Directors of the GSIC, along with representatives of organizations such as UEFA, Adidas and FC Barcelona, among others. SciSports offers consulting and data intelligence services that provide football clubs with valuable information from country and player reports. The winning company has been highlighted among a total of ten finalists. The second prize of the competition was for Fanpictor, a company dedicated to the development of applications that boost the participation of fans during matches using their mobile phones to participate in contests or create mosaics in the stadiums. Finally, the third prize has been awarded to Formalytics, a company that has developed a mobile application that records and measures the characteristics of ball shots. As part of the award, all the three companies joined the GSIC without cost for 6 months. Two other partners of the GSIC, iXpole, with its platform for the management of boxes and sponsorships, and ProSport365, with its CRM for sports clubs, also participated in this event.
