This paper explores how the innovative applications of technologies has created new physical spaces to host competitions in urban areas whilst enhancing the stadium experience to a consumer value proposition that combines the best of shopping malls and theme parks. We cite five case studies in as many counties whose adoption potential is global as forward indicators of how Sports entities can successfully engage Fandom in the ‘Marketplace of Attention’, at scale.
