This paper explores the symbiotic relationship enjoyed between Sport and Tourism, especially in the post-pandemic world as visitors have financed economic rejuvenation. It cites trends that are ensuring the upward curve of this trend and the central role played by technology to enable the success of varied definitions that have both a material and intangible impact. We explain how the smart use of data and cloud-based solutions is negating the historical limitations placed by geography, economic and social factors. We conclude, by celebrating the success of three GSIC members, who are making waves across three Continents, namely Asia, Europe and Latin America, to ensure the seamless and symbiotic relationship between Sport and Tourism – at a scale and speed that was hardly imaginable at the turn of the decade.
