We are organizing our first Summit for GSIC Members in order to bring you all together for 2 days full of intensive work, networking, knowledge transferring and also catching up with our team!
The acceleration of digital transformation is being a key driver for growth in the sports industry. Sports stakeholders are adopting new technologies in order to keep pace with the industry trends and face emerging challenges. Therefore, GSIC powered by Microsoft members envision a fascinating future for the industry in five main areas: Smart Venue, Fan Engagement, Team & Player Performance, Business Insights and Productivity, eSports, and what they think about current and future challenges and trends, is reflected in this GSIC Report
On July 10 we held at the GSIC a seminar on 'Impact and value of the brand in the sports field' offered by one of our members PONS IP, experts in defining strategies, creating, managing and defending intellectual property rights. PONS IP experts shared how to create, protect and enhance a brand within the sports industry.
The Valencian delegation has been the most numerous among the regions participating in this event which places the Community on the map of innovation in sport at European level. The Dutch city of Eindhoven has hosted the second event of the Inno4Sports project, which has brought together for three days (June 11th-13th, 2019) the different actors of the sport ecosystem of the regions participating in the project. The sessions developed are Interregional Exchange (IE) or part of the Knowledge Capitalization Seminar (KCS).

While our educational programs are shaping, different professors for our Master and Sports Entrepreneurship course are joining GSIC Institue to offer their expertise in the sports industry to the future students. All our professors are members of the GSIC and 27 of them have already committed to the initiative in order to design programs of classes that will adjust and represent in the best way current situation on the different sports industry scenarios.
On the last week of April, startups associated to the GSIC had received a private invitation to the event we organized together with More Than Players Foundation created by elite athletes (active and former) from the most important leagues in the world, to support entrepreneurship in the sports industry. Hand in hand with Offside Communication agency and the GSIC by Microsoft, this initiative was carried out with the intention of uniting the true protagonists of the industry, the athletes, with the entrepreneurs who try to innovate within the sector.
