This second edition of the StartCup Challenge, that took place in Madrid on 16th and 17th of October of 2017, was a perfect moment to meet the most innovative startups focused on the sports industry and also football organized by Global Sports Innovation Center and Word Football Summit. Almost 70 startups coming from 25 countries, applied to the contest in 2017 edition.

The Spanish enterprise Thermohuman had a face to face with the other six finalists and has been chosen the WFStartCup Challenge by GSIC winner.

Thermohuman developed an infrared thermography system applied to sports that helps to prevent injuries. Their pitch won the Expert Jury Prize, where the jury was composed by representatives from Pivot Sport, Seed & Click, Sport Investment Partner, Wayra Madrid, GSIC, LaLiga, Mediapro, Madrid Business Angels Network, 3vs Sports Investor Partners and the WFS organization. They also won the Audience Award.

As a winner of the competition, Thermohuman will enjoy one year of free membership at the GSIC, as well as support for crowfunding, networking and visibility activities.
