The deadline for registration in Andorra Sports Startups Challenge is extended till May 6
Andorra Research & Innovation, Andorra Business and the Global Sports Innovation Center powered by Microsoft (GSIC), with the support of SPSG Consulting, are joining forces to identify the most disruptive solutions and the latest technologies worldwide through a startup competition in the following areas:
Improvement of safety and accessibility for cyclists’ routes.
Improvement of sustainability and social impact in sports events organized in the country.
Improvement of fan and consumer engagement and experience with NFTs, fan tokens and metaverse for sports events organized in the country (before, during and after the event).
Improvement of educational methods through gamification platforms.
Compilation, visualization, and analysis of data in order to create a 360º profile of the users and tourists visiting Andorra.
Up to 10 projects/startups will be selected as finalists to pitch at an online event, where 1 of them will be selected as winner and there will be 2 special mentions.
GSIC makes and agreement with the Football Development in Ukraine Fund, official partner of Ukrainian Association of Football
The GSIC deeply touched by the current situation desilvelving in Ukraine sinde February 24 of this year.
We want to express our support to all the Ukrainians on the sports industry and in the world, and to use th power of our network to provide help, because the core of ur philosopphy has alvays been collaboration and team work, where everyone is helping each other in order to become stronger and grow together.
With this aim, we have established an agrement with the charity fund «Football Development in Ukraine» in order to help Ukrainian people, and specially childeren, through several initiatives.
We ecourage all our members, collaborators, partners, experts, and all the sports tech ecosystem that had been following us for the past 8 years to join us and contribute to this cause.

Jorge Coll is a professional in sports and training, expert advisor in sports events, marketing and sports sponsorships. Director of sports projects and teacher at universities in Spain and France.
With more than 15 years of experience as an entrepreneur in sports and training projects in Spain, France, Brazil, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, China, Sweden, Guatemala and Costa Rica. Director of university, face-to-face and online educational products in sports and sports management for Valencia CF, Juan Carlos Ferrero Equelite Sport Academy, FEDDI (Spanish Sports Federation for people with Intellectual Disabilities), Levante UD, CV Tennis Federation, CV Judo Federation , Pitu Losada Padel Academy and for business schools such as Inede Business School and AMOS Sport Business School.

Members Solutions Showcase – Changing the ways of content creation, distribution and consumption
The sports industry is a massive moneymaker around the world.
Dedicated fans of football, soccer, baseball, basketball, and other games are eager and hungry for content that will satisfy their sports cravings.
That’s why, on April 20 we invited our members to Members Solutions Showcase where we will meet Changing the ways of content creation, distribution, and consumption and see different ways of doing it.
Global Sports Innovation Center powered by Microsoft in collaboration with FIBA 3X3, have organized in April two Innovatin Days.
The first meeting had place on April 21, and 8 of our members had a chance to present their solutions in "New revenue streams and fan zone experience".
On April 26, seven members of GSIC presented during the online session their solutions applied to "Social Networks and Media".
With GSIC support, FIBA is looking for innovative solutions for their digital and onsite events, including fan zone activations for sponsors in their FIBA 3X3 events (urban style events for families, tourists in the host city), innovative solutions that can improve their sustainability (diversity, inclusion, reduce the carbon footprint, etc) and solutions for their social networks and media.
There will be one more session with FIBA 3X3 on Sustainability and Social Impact.
Innovation Days – One Siliat Singapore and Sailing Singapore
On April 18 and 19, the GSIC held 2 online sessions, one for One Silat Singapore, and another for Sailing Singpore, where our members showcased solutions that
can support these federations in "Capturing of Movements" and "Immersive experiences for spectators" challenges.
