On November 10, GSIC has held the first meeting of its VIP Club, an exclusive, invitation only initiative created for sports organizations to drive networking and knowledge sharing among top entities of the industry.

The meeting was hosted by Javier Martinez, GSIC Ambassador and Senior Advisor of ManCity and VenueNext. Our special guest, Niyas Abdulrahiman, Chief Technology Officer at Aspire Zone Qatar shared valuable insights on how his organization sees the Future of Smart Stadium:
- The Stadiums of the Future will be multipurpose destinations located within urban conurbations where people will meet, work, eat, drink and live.
- Implementation of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality will transform physical stadiums into virtual spaces, which will change game presentation, sponsoring, fan engagement and the global audience.
- Improvement of physical and digital security and 5G connectivity are the main challenges and priorities in the stadiums of a future marked by the COVID19 pandemic.
The VIP Club will organize 5 more exclusive sessions for sports organizations withing the course of 2021, in January, March, July and September.
