The GSIC Summit's next edition will come to Singapore on November 10 and 11.
It will become a great meeting point for GSIC members to do networking, share projects and solutions, exchange knowledge, discover more about technology trends in the sports industry and create synergies.
The Summit is organized with the support of Sport Singapore and will be attended by different European and Asian sports entities and tech companies who will share their expertiese and knowledge in innovation applies to major sporting events organization, such as Sport Singapore, LaLiga Tech, SAS, Cricket Australia, ONE Esports, SailGP, Porsche, Formula E, HSBC, IMG, Sports Hub, Real Madrid, Football Association of Singapore, and more.

GSIC organizes Ukrainian Startups Pitch Day in collaboration with Ukrainian Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Sports Tech Hub Ukraine
In March, the GSIC powered by Microsoft has reached an agreement with Sport Tech Hub Ukraine in order to carry out a series of joint initiatives that would support Ukrainian sports tech startups in their current situation. As a result of this agreement, today, we held an online Pitch Day for 12 startups with solutions for sports industry in Health and Wellness, Team and Player Performance, Business Insights, and others:

…Luca Spinelli? – Data Analytics at the service of Fan Engagement, Venue Management, sports organizations' operations and social impact
Luca Spinelli is a Director of Business Transformation, Emerging EMEA & ASEAN at SAS. For the past 14 years he has been working in a consulting environment covering different roles as his growth would evolve. Luca is working on the analytics space, since 2007 with experience of workig at Aspire Academy, the Italian Football Federation, and teaching at Johan Cruyff Institute.
This month we interviewed Luca to learn more about how the importance of data analytics in different areas that compose business of the sports entities and find our how SAS helps these organizations with their challenges in digital transformation.

Members Networking Session – June 1
25 GSIC Members have participated in an online networking session, generating synergies and creating business opportunities during 1-to-1 meetings arranged by GSIC.
Sponsorship Working Group. Intro Session – June 22
The GSIC is running a new Working Group, focused on Sponsorship where professionals from brands such as Porsche, MARCA, Endesa, Iberdrola, Burger King, Herbalife and more will work on
  1. How the activation of sponsorship embraces the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) of the United Nations.
  2. How brands can take advantage of digital transformation and boost their sponsorship activation plan.
The introductory session took place on June 22 online in order for the participants to share areas of interest they have for this Working Group. Next meeting will take place onsite in Madrid on July 28.

GSIC makes and agreement with the Football Development in Ukraine Fund, official partner of Ukrainian Association of Football
The GSIC deeply touched by the current situation desilvelving in Ukraine since February 24 of this year.
We want to express our support to all the Ukrainians on the sports industry and in the world, and to use th power of our network to provide help, because the core of our philosopphy has alvays been collaboration and team work, where everyone is helping each other in order to become stronger and grow together.
With this aim, we have established an agrement with the charity fund «Football Development in Ukraine» in order to help Ukrainian people, and specially childeren, through several initiatives.
We ecourage all our members, collaborators, partners, experts, and all the sports tech ecosystem that had been following us for the past 8 years to join us and contribute to this cause.

Super League Triathlon offering fans franchise control via LiveLike platform
Super League Triathlon (SLT) has announced that it will offer fans the opportunity to own a stake in one of its race teams as part of its plans to further develop the sport’s first professional league.
The expanded, two-month 2022 SLT Championship Series will get underway in September and is set to visit Paris for the first time as part of a five-stop tour which will culminate in a ‘grand final’ event.

Athlete tracking start-up Sportlight scores with £4m fundraising
A sports start-up which uses athlete tracking technology to provide Premier League clubs and other clients with more precise insights into players' performance has sealed a £4m injection of funding.
Sky News understands that Sportlight, which was established in 2017, has raised the money from a group of investors, including Sport Republic, the owner of Southampton FC, Bolt Ventures and Andy Young, the former chief financial officer at City Football Group, the owner of Manchester City.

Sport Singapore takes over the Singapore Sports Hub to unlock full potential for Singapore
Sport Singapore (SportSG) has initiated the termination of the Sports Hub Public-Private Partnership (“PPP”) project agreement and will take over the ownership and management of the Singapore Sports Hub. It has reached a mutual agreement with SportsHub Pte Ltd (SHPL) over the termination and the process of handover, and will officially take over the Sports Hub on 9 December 2022.
