FIBA 3X3 Innovation Days
Our members are invited to participate in an Innovation Day during which FIBA 3X3 representatives will be looking for solutions in three main areas:
  • New revenue streams and fan zone experience
  • Sustainability and Social Impact
  • Social Networks and Media

FIBA will be looking for innovative solutions for their digital and onsite events, including fan zone activations for sponsors in their FIBA 3X3 events (urban style events for families, tourists in the host city), innovative solutions that can improve their sustainability (diversity, inclusion, reduce the carbon footprint, etc) and solutions for their social networks and media.

Disruptive onsite and digital entertainment, creating engaging atmospheres and obtaining fan data with the goal of increasing their fan base in a sustainable way are areas that FIBA 3×3 is looking to cover with new technological solutions.

Participate in the second edition of the Andorra Sports Startups Challenge!
Andorra Research & Innovation, Andorra Business and the Global Sports Innovation Center powered by Microsoft (GSIC), with the support of SPSG Consulting, are joining forces to identify the most disruptive solutions and the latest technologies worldwide through a startup competition in the following areas:
  • Improvement of safety and accessibility for cyclists’ routes.
  • Improvement of sustainability and social impact in sports events organized in the country.
  • Improvement of fan and consumer engagement and experience with NFTs, fan tokens and metaverse for sports events organized in the country (before, during and after the event).
  • Improvement of educational methods through gamification platforms.
  • Compilation, visualization, and analysis of data in order to create a 360º profile of the users and tourists visiting Andorra.

Up to 10 projects/startups will be selected as finalists to pitch at an online event, where 1 of them will be selected as winner and there will be 2 special mentions.

GSIC makes and agreement with the Football Development in Ukraine Fund, official partner of Ukrainian Association of Football
The GSIC deeply touched by the current situation desilvelving in Ukraine sinde February 24 of this year.
We want to express our support to all the Ukrainians on the sports industry and in the world, and to use th power of our network to provide help, because the core of ur philosopphy has alvays been collaboration and team work, where everyone is helping each other in order to become stronger and grow together.
With this aim, we have established an agrement with the charity fund «Football Development in Ukraine» in order to help Ukrainian people, and specially childeren, through several initiatives.
We ecourage all our members, collaborators, partners, experts, and all the sports tech ecosystem that had been following us for the past 8 years to join us and contribute to this cause.

Now, any founder interested in the program can sign up directly on the website, which means you no longer need to keep track of your referral code or URL. When founders click on your referral URL, they will automatically be redirected to the official Microsoft for Startups website where they can register their interest.

Webinar – The Rise of Women's Sport and its Competitions – March 8
At GSIC we celebrated the International Women's Day with the discussion on how
female competitions have grown over the past few years and what challenges they are currently facing on the examples of football and basketball. The panel of speaker was composed by representatives from LaLiga, FIFA and FIBA 3X3.

Global Sports Innovation Center powered by Microsoft in collaboration with Sport Singapore organized an onsite event
Round Table about “Women's leadership in the APAC sports industry”.

This roundtable took place at the GSIC APAC offices where five great profiles from TechstormTV, Resolve, Octagon, Sembcorp Industries, and our General Manager Iris Cordoba, who deepened on the different strategies, trends and highlights of the market.
Members Solutions Showcase – Expanding horizons with Augmented and Virtual Reality
Sports is one of the domains where AR and VR technology is being put to use in very different ways and we already become used to its presence in sports such as football, basketball and tennis.

That’s why, on March 22 we invited our members for our Members Solutions Showcase where we will meet Expanding horizons with Augmented and Virtual Reality and see different ways of doing it.

For the past year, Singapore has become a center of attention for Asia's major sport events organization. The country is successfully managing the pandemic and was able to deliver last December the AFF Suzuki Cup 2020. How was this success achieved? What is 'behind the scenes' in the organization of one of the most important sporting events in Southeast Asia?
