The GSIC Summit's next edition will come to Singapore on November 9 and 11.
It will become a great meeting point for GSIC members to do networking, share projects and solutions, exchange knowledge, discover more about technology trends in the sports industry and create synergies.
The Summit is organized with the support of Sport Singapore and will be attended by different European and Asian sports entities and tech companies who will share their expertiese and knowledge in innovation applies to major sporting events organization, such as Sport Singapore, LaLiga Tech, SAS, Cricket Australia, ONE Esports, SailGP, Porsche, Formula E, HSBC, IMG, Sports Hub, Real Madrid, Football Association of Singapore, and more.

The Summit will be composed of 3 days:
Day 1: Startups Day. Governmental and private organizations are invited to bring groups of startups to attend exclusive meetings with Singaporean sports tech industry stakeholders, investors and mentors. Full day of activities focused on startups and helping them to grow their business on the APAC market.
Startups can also participate on their own.
*Activity free for members of GSIC.
*For non-members the cost is 300€.
Participants will also have access to Conference Day and Visits Day.
Day 2: Conference Day. Panel discussions will run withing 3 main blocks: Global trends in the sporting events organization; Technological disruption for sporting events; Opening new opportunities for marketing and sponsorship.
*Members of GSIC are invited to have a speaker slot for free.
*Non-members of GSIC can become Summit's partners where the package includes
speaking opportunities.
Day 3: Visits Day. Startups Day and Conference Day attendees are invited to attend visits to the facilities of the leading sports tech entities located in Singapore.

The Global Sports Innovation Center powered by Microsoft worked on a document that considers the unprecedented, and in places continuing, impact of COVID-19 on Sport, by looking at three areas. First, what it takes to host major events. Second, the rise of new disciplines alongside a thirst for new formats. Third, to what extent Fan Engagement is due a redefinition.
The paper seeks to address all three themes in the context of how and why technology is enabling the growing incidence of next-generation consumer experiences.

In March, the GSIC powered by Microsoft has reached an agreement with Sport Tech Hub Ukraine in order to carry out a series of joint initiatives that would support Ukrainian sports tech startups in their current situation. As a result of this agreement, on June 28, we held an online Pitch Day for 12 startups with solutions for sports industry in Health and Wellness, Team and Player Performance, Business Insights, and others:.
Last month we held a special online pitch activity for #sportstech startups from Ukraine that were evaluated by 15 experts from our network.
By the results of jury evaluation, we have decided to award not 1 but 3 startups with 1-year free membership to GSIC and today we would like to officially welcome to our network of members AiSport, 12Climb LLC and Streetball App.
During this year, they will benefit on GSIC services and activities that will help them grow on the international sport industry market.

Anna Stepura is a Ukrainian who had been in the sports industry for 21 years, 16 of them in professional sport, and 5 years of professional coaching. Now, she's a co-founder of Sports tech startup AiSport.
This month we interviewed Anna to learn more about how to improve training with Artificial Intelligence, as well as her path from professional sport to entrepreneurship and the impact of war in Ukraine on the company.

The GSIC deeply touched by the current situation desilvelving in Ukraine since February 24 of this year.
We want to express our support to all the Ukrainians on the sports industry and in the world, and to use th power of our network to provide help, because the core of our philosopphy has alvays been collaboration and team work, where everyone is helping each other in order to become stronger and grow together.
With this aim, we have established an agrement with the charity fund «Football Development in Ukraine» in order to help Ukrainian people, and specially childeren, through several initiatives.

Sports Value has deepened the analysis of the performance of betting companies in the world of sports. Other sectors that we created highly specialized were: financial market, sports equipment, retail, OTT and sustainability.
In 2019, the sports betting market moved US$77 billion, according to the WLA. Of this total, US$ 34 billion in horse and dog racing and another US$ 43 billion in traditional sports. Football represented 57% of the total.
A new US$106 billion is expected to be generated between 2020 and 2025. Asia Pacific markets will account for 39% of the total.
